Q: What is the refund policy?
A: General Motors values your business and wants you to be satisfied with your experience. If for some reason you wish to have a refund or credit please note the following refund policies:
  • Short Term (1-3 day) subscriptions are non refundable
  • Long Term (1 month- 1 year) subscriptions may be refunded at the discretion of General Motors. In cases where refunds are granted they will be pro-rated based on use of the service. Refunds will not granted after the subscription period has ended.

Q: Is there a difference between the DVD and Web?
A: The DVD is a legacy product which is out of date.

Q: What is the difference in the different subscriptions?
A: The following TIS 2 Web subscriptions are available.
  • Tis2Web - All Access: This subscription includes GM and Saturn software to update vehicle calibrations and Tech 2 diagnostic software updates. Available subscription: 1 year for $1395.00.
  • Tis2Web - Service Programming: This subscription includes GM and Saturn software to update vehicle calibrations only. Vehicle calibrations maybe looked up at no charge at http://tis2web.service.gm.com/tis2web. Available subscriptions: 2 day for $55.00, 3 months for $275.00, and 1 year for $995.00
  • Tis2Web - Tech 2 Diagnostics: Tech 2 software updates for GM vehicles. Available subscription: 1 Year for $750.00
  • Tis2Web - Global Diagnostic System 2: PC based diagnostic software for some 2010 and newer GM vehicles. Available subscriptions: 3 days for $55.00, 1 month for $225.00, and 1 year for $550.00

Q: Why can't I perform the odometer programming listed in GM Technical Service bulletin #07-08-49-015A using my TIS 2000 DVD?
A: This updating feature is only part of TIS 2 Web.

Q: I have a J-2534 programming tool. Can I use TIS 2 Web?
A: Yes, but keep in mind there are two versions of the J-2534 SAE standard.

Key Code and Immobilizer

Q: Will all vehicles have Immobilizer codes?
A: Limited numbers of General Motors vehicles have Immobilizer system requiring an Immobilizer PIN.

Q: Is a separate request needed for a key code than an Immobilizer?
A: There is only one request which will return the information needed for that particular vehicle.
